Joao Felix still has one year left on his contract with Chelsea. Recently, he was assigned a different jersey number. A new player, Dario Essugo, joined Chelsea from Sporting CP and took Felix's previous number.

Chelsea signed Felix in August 2022 for €50m from Atletico Madrid. Since then, Felix has been trying to establish himself at the club.
