Pereira took charge of the team mid-season, helping them avoid relegation, and has been delighted by the enthusiastic response from the fans.
In an interview with the club's podcast, he mentioned that he had experienced singing fans at other clubs before, but not to the same extent as at Wolves.
"I had clubs where fans sang my name, but it took time for that to happen," he said.
"But in the first game, it was a big surprise for me!"
Pereira believes that the small city of Wolverhampton makes it easier for fans to connect with each other and with the team.
"It's very easy to go for a walk and find supporters in the pubs, everywhere," he said.
"I think this is the energy, the connection and power that we have in the city with just one club."
Pereira emphasizes the importance of building a strong connection between the fans, the club, and the players.
"If you have just one club, everyone supports the club," he said.
"To connect the people with the club and the players is to create this energy."
"It's to create a feeling of pride. Being proud of ourselves."
