Borland's impressive performances didn't go unnoticed. He helped the team win the Birmingham Senior Cup with a 9-0 thrashing of Racing Club Warwick last May and led his side to the UEFA Youth League round of 16 earlier in the season.
Academy Manager Mark Harrison praised Borland's development, saying he's a talented player with great leadership skills. "We're delighted to see Aidan sign a new long-term contract. It's a well-deserved recognition of his growth since joining us," Harrison said.
Borland is known for his technical skills and tactical awareness. He's been a regular in the under-21 and under-19 teams, often captaining the side, which shows his maturity and leadership on and off the pitch. He's also represented Scotland in international competitions.
