Sacchi believes that some people are unfairly targeting Inzaghi. He said, "Luckily, there are still wise people in charge who think clearly. I ask myself, after what we've seen in recent seasons, how can we judge Simone Inzaghi?"
Sacchi also thinks that the world of football can be confusing at times. He said, "If people in Madrid can criticize Carlo Ancelotti, then anything seems to be acceptable."
Sacchi also pointed out that coaches are human and can make mistakes. He said, "Let's look back at the past. After Inter's win against Bayern Munich, Inzaghi was praised, but 15 days later, he was criticized. Putting a coach in the dock for losing a few games is not my way of thinking."
Sacchi also defended Inzaghi's team selection for the match against AC Milan. He said, "If Inzaghi made those choices, it means he thought they were necessary. I don't know any coach who intentionally makes mistakes. Inter's second-string players may not be as good as their first-team players, but that's true for many teams in Europe."
Sacchi also pointed out that teams often have to make tough decisions when they have a lot of games to play. He said, "No team has a perfect reserve team. Even Real Madrid doesn't have the same quality in their second team as they do in their first team."
