Riquelme's office released a statement explaining their appeal to Klopp, citing the unique challenge of managing Real Madrid.
"We understand that Klopp has expressed no interest in returning to the dugout in the short term and has turned down other offers," the statement read.
"However, we believe that the opportunity to lead Real Madrid is different and something that could change Klopp's mind," the statement continued.
Riquelme's plan to contact Klopp directly to discuss the sporting project and the possibility of his involvement was also outlined in the statement.
Meanwhile, current president Florentino Perez is reportedly pursuing his own high-profile targets, including Jose Mourinho, Denzel Dumfries, and Ibrahima Konate.
