Andrews has been a key member of Thomas Frank's staff and has been chosen by the club's board to succeed Frank, who recently left to join Tottenham.

Although Andrews has no direct experience as a manager, the club is confident in his abilities and is in discussions with him to finalise the terms of his appointment.

Andrews was also a candidate for the managerial position at MK Dons, but the team ultimately decided to hire Paul Warne instead.

Interestingly, Thomas Frank was also promoted from within the club, taking over as manager in 2018 after Dean Smith left to join Aston Villa.
