Midfielder Mason Mount spoke to local reporters in Kuala Lumpur, saying: "We're all very excited to be over here. We don't often get the chance to visit this part of the world and meet our fans here. We want to make the most of this opportunity."

Mount also said that the team was looking forward to playing against the ASEAN Allstars. "We got off the plane and there were hundreds of people waiting for us, taking pictures and welcoming us to the country. It was a great welcome."

Mount emphasized that the team will not be going through the motions during the tour. "As our coach said, we want to perform to the best of our ability whenever we wear the Manchester United shirt. We want to win the game and it will be a competitive match against the All-Stars."
